Steroid Injections
Reduces inflammation, swelling, and pain of cystic acne; a diluted corticosteroid is injected directly into a cyst. This treatment is typically for tender, swollen acne nodules, or cysts that are not responding to other acne treatments. This steroid injection can be very effective in shrinking nodules and cysts.
